Indore (Madhya Pradesh): As many as 72 students have enrolled in MBA courses and 10 in MCA courses offered through distance learning by the Center for Distance and Online Education, an entity of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV).

Besides, 24 more students, including 17 in MBA courses and 10 in MCA courses, showed interest but did not submit the fee to confirm their admission.

The center used to offer a three-year distance MBA. This year, the University Grants Commission (UGC) allowed it to offer a two-year MBA and a two-year MCA distance course.

As he got permission from the UGC late, the admission window opened at DAVV when admissions for full-time MBA and MCA courses ended in the colleges. Since almost all candidates were already enrolled in regular courses, DAVV received fewer applications. After the delay in the permission, the university was also given less time to fill the posts.

Director of the center prof. Pratosh Bansal said that students who want to pursue distance learning MBA and MCA can also apply for admission on Tuesday.

As per the UGC schedule, November 15 is the last date to apply for admission to MBA and MCA courses. We will provide admission on a first-come, first-served basis, he added.
