A child driving Mahindra Scorpio wheelspins. | Tech US News

In our country it is not uncommon for parents to hand over their cars to their children and one such scene is seen.

A video of a child driving a Mahindra Scorpio and performing a wheelspin has taken the internet by storm. We have seen time and time again how some parents are reluctant to hand over the car to their young children. We could find no good reason to do so. Nevertheless, it can be quite dangerous not only for the people sitting in the car but also for the car itself. For example, this video shows a child doing a wheel spin that will cause a tire to explode.

The video was uploaded to YouTube by Vicky Badshah and has been viewed more than 6.5 million times. In it, a black Mahindra Scorpio (latest generation) is seen in a field full of dirt. There is a child in the driver’s seat who is clearly too young to have a driver’s license. He is accelerating the car quite aggressively while holding the brake pedal/handbrake. As a result, the wheels are spinning but the SUV is not moving. Wheel spin results in dust everywhere. Finally, the child drives the car forward. He plays with driving and reversing the SUV for a while.

While we understand that it looks perfectly harmless since it’s being done out in the open, the tendency of some people is to hand over the car to a child on a busy road. This is not the most sensible way to teach your child how to drive a car. This puts the safety of the child and others on the road at risk. We request our readers to follow traffic rules and take responsible decisions while driving. This will ensure that our roads become safer than they are today.
