About 112 million Americans plan to travel for Thanksgiving | Tech US News

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – Travel news group The Vacationer has released the results of its 2022 Thanksgiving Travel Survey.

The Vacationer conducted an online survey on October 25 and included more than 1,000 American adults. Questions revolved around how many Americans planned to travel for Thanksgiving, whether high inflation/gas prices affected their plans, how much money they expected to spend, and what kinds of traditional Thanksgiving dishes they hate the most.

Overall, more than 43% of participants said they plan to travel for Thanksgiving. This year, men are more likely than women to travel for Thanksgiving, according to the survey. Overall, more participants said they planned to travel for Christmas instead of Thanksgiving, with the largest group being between the ages of 18 and 29.

About 29% of US adults say they plan to spend more than $500 to travel for Thanksgiving, which given US inflation rates, won’t be a difficult feat. Almost 50% of participants said inflation was affecting them more because of rising food costs or travel costs (either the price of gas or airfare prices).
