Admission is open for the Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel. The goal of the master’s program is to train engineers to be able to implement, manage, research and develop engineering equipment in hospitals.

Students who graduate with a master’s degree acquire a broad foundational knowledge as well as specific skills in areas essential to being a biomedical engineer.

Program delivery

The Master’s degree is a two-year (4 semesters) degree (research) program taught entirely in English.

Areas of specialization in biomedical engineering master’s programs include extensive training in the medical and engineering fields. The responsibility for the training of biomedical engineers at BGU is provided by the faculties of health sciences and engineering.

Tuition for a master’s program is approximately $5,000 (USD) per year.

Eligibility requirements

– Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution with a minimum average grade of 80/100.

– A TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or an equivalent score on an internationally recognized English proficiency test is required. Applicants who have graduated from an English program do not meet the English proficiency requirements.

– GRE is recommended, but not mandatory.

Scholarship

Exceptional students are eligible for scholarships that can cover tuition fees and provide living expenses. The faculty may provide additional financial support through its research grants, which are determined on an individual basis.
