Malappuram: The admission process for para-medical post-graduate courses, except nursing, is yet to begin as the Kerala government’s approval is awaited.

The LBS Center for Science and Technology, which conducts a single award for these courses, has not yet called for applications except for Nursing courses.

The government has to approve paramedical courses in private colleges every year. The delay in this regard is said to be to blame for the impasse.

In the meantime, three calls for enrollment in carer courses were held.

Enrollment in paramedical courses starts in October every year. Admission to 12 paramedical courses including Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dialysis Technology and Audiology is done along with Nursing. This allowed the students to choose the subject of their choice. This year, only the option of applying for nursing was available on the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.

Although the authorities have promised to allow registration for other courses soon, it is not yet available.
