'Business Of Lies': Akhilesh Yadav over alleged Ayush V UP admission scam

Akhilesh Yadav said that the state CM is misleading the public in other provinces who are unaware of the scam.

Lucknow:

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday termed the BJP dispensation in Uttar Pradesh as a “government of scams” and claimed that “the business of lies” has begun to be exposed.

In a statement, he alleged that fraud in admissions to AYUSH courses in government and private colleges was taking place in the country and the BJP government remained ignorant.

“Hundreds of students were admitted to Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy colleges without appearing in NEET (2021). Traces of fraud were found in 891 admissions. The firm which had the consultancy contract transferred its responsibility to other companies,” the Samajwadi Party leader alleged.

“The BJP dispensation (in UP) has become a government of scams and its business of lies is beginning to be exposed. The AYUSH scam is just one scam. When the veil lifts, many scams will come to the fore. Tilaks can’t hide their ‘kalank’ (stigma) at the helm of the BJP.” The state government recently sought a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities. “The government is trying to mislead the public with the pretext of suspension, investigation and even dismissal, while it is clear that rigging regarding admissions to Ayurvedic colleges is not possible without the protection of people from above.

“The investigators are now only targeting junior employees. Senior officials of the department are roaming around,” alleged Mr Yadav. He accused the government of the complete destruction of education.

“The Chief Minister (Yogi Adityanath) is engaged in misleading the public in other provinces who are unaware of the scam. He is neither concerned about the people of Uttar Pradesh nor the future of the youth who are victims of government scams,” the Samajwadi Party leader alleged.

“The studies of those who enrolled as per the rules have been interrupted. The recognition of many colleges is also stuck. The investigation process will waste months of time. Following the rules and regulations has become a crime under this government,” he claimed. Akhilesh Yadav called the BJP tenure a government of “false promises” and claimed that fulfilling its own promises is not on the party’s agenda.
