Brazil’s new president has been congratulated by world leaders. Prominent Indian industrialist Anand Mahindra, known for his unique perspective on current affairs, took to his Twitter account to congratulate the new president of Brazil.
The 67-year-old business tycoon shared a throwback photo of himself with President Lula. The photo is from when Mahindra hosted Lola in India in 2003. Mahindra was serving as president of the CII when Lula was hosted. The business tycoon called the president a man of the people and an interesting storyteller.
“The election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as the next President of Brazil @LulaOficial brought back warm memories of hosting him in India in 2003 when I was President of the CII. A man of the people, he tells an interesting story. Was there, filled with stories of his life experiences and struggles,” read Mahindra’s tweet.

Meanwhile, in October, Mahindra also hailed the appointment of 42-year-old Indian-origin politician Rishi Shank as UK Prime Minister.
The billionaire in his tweet recalled the words of Winston Churchill when India was on the verge of independence in 1947 – “…all Indian leaders will be incompetent and straw men.” The Mahindra Group chairman said he was proud to see a person of Indian origin anointed as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the 75th year of the country’s independence.
