Applications for the Travel Assistance Program are now open | Tech US News

As part of the chancellor’s commitment to support faculty development and improvement, all full-time faculty members may apply for travel assistance if they present original research at a professional conference or creative activity at an exhibition, performance, or other related professional venue.

Applicants may receive up to $1,000 in travel assistance to present original research or creative activity where they have been selected to present as a principal investigator, artist, or performer. To receive reimbursement, awardees must submit a detailed expense report at the end of their trip. The report must indicate the expenses covered by corresponding funds and the expenses that will be reimbursed by the travel allowance.

Applicants must:

  • Being accepted or invited to a conference, exhibition or professional performance
  • Be 100% appointed to a permanent, permanent or non-permanent position (including 100% appointed instructors and professors).
  • Be the main author, artist or performer

International conference travel requires additional justification.

Preference will be given to those who are able to secure matching funds from their department, college, startup or RIF accounts and who have not had funding in the last calendar year. Applicants must note the relevant funds on their application.

Applications are open until December 9 for travel from January 1 to June 30, 2023.
