The best way to express your interest in Hamilton is to submit an application! Some students will opt for early decision, meaning that Hamilton is their best choice and will attend if accepted, but we recognize that this option may not be right for everyone.
Many students wonder, beyond applying, how best to express their sincere interest in Hamilton. Students can do this in many ways, from a campus visit, an interview, attending a virtual event, meeting with admissions officers when we visit your high school (either in person or virtually), or taking advantage of the many other opportunities we offer candidates to network with us throughout the search and selection process. While none of these options are mandatory, we encourage you to take advantage of these ways to enhance your candidacy and help us get to know you beyond the traditional components of your application.
Above all, the best thing candidates can do is to manage their application process well. This process doesn’t end when you hit submit in your Common Application (or the Coalition or QuestBridge application). We’ll send you a follow-up email with a link to a customized applicant portal where you can make sure we’ve received all the required materials, as well as follow up on some optional additional materials (such as artwork, interviews, or short answer essays) that would you can add to your candidacy and help us get to know you beyond your minutes. Please read all of our emails and pay particular attention to instructions and deadlines. Putting together a thoughtful and complete application that presents you in the best possible light to the admissions committee is one of the best ways to take charge of your college search—and show your interest in Hamilton!
