West Ham have received a major boost as Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan has declared his desire to join Chelsea.
That’s because if Chelsea do sign the 19-year-old midfielder, West Ham could have a good chance of bringing Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the London Stadium from Stamford Bridge.
Hammers boss David Moyes wanted to sign the 26-year-old Chelsea midfielder in the summer transfer window but ended up missing out.
Loftus-Cheek has made 15 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, but if Graham Potter brings Zakharyan to Stamford Bridge, the Englishman could face a bleak future in west London.

And that’s something West Ham should take advantage of…
Arsen Zakharjan hosts Chelsea
The Blues were really close to signing the teenager in August, according to Football.London.
And the Russian international’s latest comments will no doubt pique the interest of the powers at Stamford Bridge…
Zakharyan told Sport24 when he first heard that Chelsea were interested in him:
I immediately said I wanted to go. I do not rule out the possibility of returning [to Dynamo] but on loan I would at least try it myself [at Chelsea], then I’ll be back. Maybe you could start playing there right away.
Football.London described him as a “brilliant prodigy”.
And if he does move to Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek may be looking for a way out. This is where West Ham comes in.
I would love to see the 26-year-old Blues ace at the London Stadium.
The Lewisham-born midfielder has all the attributes required to be a dominant figure in the Premier League.
Loftus-Cheek is incredibly technically gifted and has the ability to physically dominate opponents with his 6ft 3in frame.
The 26-year-old has pace and power to spare. He is also very versatile and knows where the back of the net is.
In the 2018/19 season, the midfielder scored 10 goals and five assists in 35 games for Chelsea (Transfermarkt).
His strength, speed and technical ability in possession took the Hammers to another level in the second half of the season.
We think West Ham’s January signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek would be quite the statement. Let’s hope it happens.
If Chelsea were to sign Arsen Zakharyan, West Ham’s chances of bringing in RLC will increase tenfold in my opinion.
