Pininfarina Battista, the ₹18 crore hypercar from the famous Italian design house owned by Mahindra & Mahindra has started deliveries. Automobili Pininfarina has announced that it will soon deliver the first two all-electric hypercars. This was followed by a tweet from Mahindra chairman Anand Mahindra on Thursday, which said it was time for a quiet celebration as the first cars were being delivered.

Mahindra wrote on Twitter that the company wants to make one of the most powerful cars in the world, but above all, one of the most beautiful cars. “It’s time for a quiet celebration as the first cars are delivered. We wanted to build one of the most powerful cars in the world, but above all, one of the most beautiful. From the initial drawings it was Seeing it come to life and now walking the streets is an indescribable experience,” the tweet said.
The tweet comes after Automobili Pininfarina recently opened its atelier engineering and development center in Cambiano, Italy. The company unveiled the production version of the car at Monterey Car Week in 2021. It also announced that at the same time, the coachbuilder had transformed into an automaker, increasing its retail presence.
The Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar can run up to 476 km on a single charge thanks to a 120 kWh battery pack. The automaker claims it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than two seconds, making it faster than any Formula One car.
The Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar gets a quad electric motor setup, with each motor powering one wheel, making it a true all-wheel drive vehicle. The quad-motor electric powertrain can churn out a peak power of 1,900 hp and a massive torque output of 2,360 Nm. The Pininfarina Battista comes as an exclusive limited edition model, with production limited to just 150 units.
