Dmitry Orlov will travel with the team, TJ Oshie will not | Tech US News


The Washington Capitals held an optional skate on Saturday afternoon following their 5-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night. Dmitry Orlov skated while TJ Oshie did not.

The team departs this afternoon on a three-game road trip with stops in Tampa (Sunday), Miami (Tuesday) and St. Louis (Thursday). The team said Orlov will travel with the team. TJ Oshie won’t.

Oshie has missed the past seven games since suffering a lower-body injury against the Predators in Nashville on Oct. 29. Orlov has missed the past three games with a lower-body injury against the Arizona Coyotes on Nov. 5.

The Capitals close out their home-and-home series with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday in Tampa. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
