Entrance fees for DU UG 2022: Delhi University admission has reached the third round of seat allotment. A few places in science courses, especially in southern and off-campus colleges, remain vacant. More than 61,500 students took admission in the university during the 2nd round of seat distribution and 16,231 seats for undergraduate programs were allotted in the 3rd round of seat distribution.
According to media reports, the college had 912 approved seats and 748 candidates had confirmed their admission by paying the fees till 3 pm. Places in the Departments of Commerce and Arts are already filled. There are 14 vacancies for Botany, 10 for Computer Science, 14 for Electronics, 19 for Mathematics and 22 for Physics for BSc (Hons) courses at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College. Vacancies in science subjects are still in double digits.
Eight or 12 places are also available in the field of zoology or life sciences. Rajdhani College off campus has maximum vacancies for Sanskrit and Science courses including Chemistry, Electronics and Physics. The faculty has 1,192 approved seats and 900 were filled by Monday evening.
According to director Hem Chand Jain, the posts in the commerce and arts departments are already filled.
“We are facing difficulties in filling places in science subjects even in the third round. But we hope that most of the seats will be filled in this round,” he said.
According to media reports, Principal B Nanda, The maximum number of seats in all courses are already occupied. Places in natural science courses are not available either.” He admits, however, that this year it was necessary to fill places in science subjects because the enrollment process started late.
