Free admission for veterans at Six Flags this weekend | Tech US News


Veterans Day is Friday. A day to honor military veterans from all branches of the US military. Many veterans, retired or active, can take advantage of discounted or free deals offered to them by local and national businesses as a way of showing appreciation for their service to our country.

Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington is hosting a Veterans Day event in the park for anyone who has served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Not only will veterans get free admission, but they’ll be treated to quite a few other perks and some special park activities on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13.

Six Flags Over Texas has been a family theme park since its inception in 1961 and has been providing its guests with thrills for the past 61 years. From traditional theme park rides to thrilling roller coasters for enthusiasts of all levels, along with live entertainment and special events, Six Flags Over Texas makes memories and they will be performing this Veterans Weekend.

Six Flags Over Texas Park President Richard Douaihy says, “This weekend we honor all of America’s veterans and thank those who have served their country honorably in war or peacetime.”

Six Flags Veterans Weekend specials include:

  • Free entrance to the park
  • Free parking
  • Free meal
  • Free bottle of drink
  • Memorial gifts
  • Additional benefits

The above benefits are for all veterans and active military members. Six Flags doesn’t leave friends and family out, the park is offering them special admission prices, four tickets for $19.99. A valid military ID will be required upon admission.

On this day of patriotism and pride, Six Flags will have special events including:

  • US Air Force flyover on Saturday, November 12 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 13 at 11 a.m.
  • Performance by the US Air Force Quartet
  • Patriotic music all day
  • drilling crews
  • recruitment stations
  • VA Association

The park will be open on Saturday from 16:00 to 22:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
