Then Gators Gymnastics Hype Night presented by American Campus Communities is your chance to meet Team Florida!

When: Monday, December 5 at 6:45 p.m
Where: Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center (doors open at 6 p.m.)
Tickets: Free for all – general admission for all seats

Plan to attend Gator Gymnastics Hype Night as the event will not be streamed or televised.

Gators will display full or partial routines on each device. Celebrity judges judge the routine of the Orange & Blue meet’s dual format.

Thirty (30) lucky students at Hype Night will receive an exclusive invitation to a Gators Gymnastics practice for an inside look at the Gators practice and training facility!

2023 Gators:

  • The 17-member 2023 Gator team includes five All-Americans with 40 All-American honors.
  • UF returns 16 of 24 routines from its 2022 NCAA runner-up appearance.
  • The Gators are joined by four newcomers – two freshmen and two transfers.
  • Headlining the returnees is the 2022 Honda Award winner and three-time NCAA champion (2022 all-around, parallel bars, floor). The Trinity of Thomas. She is joined by three others competing for their fifth season with the Gators – Halley Taylor and All-Americans Leah Clapper and Savannah Schoenherr. Payton Richards is the Gators lone senior.
  • Junior class includes Chloe Clark, Alex Magee and All-American Ellie Lazzari.
  • Sophomores include Sloane Blakely, Bri Edwards, Riley McCusker and All-American Leanne Wong. Morgan Hurd looks set to make her competitive Gator debut, as injury sidelined her in 2022.
  • The Gators are rookies Lori Brubach (Apopka, Florida) and Kayla DiCello (Boyds, MD).
  • Both transfers join the Georgia Gators – Super Senior Rachel Baumann (younger sister of Gator All-American and 2022 Super Senior Alyssa Baumann) and jr. Victoria Nguyen.
  • Four national records among the 2023 Gators earned individual or team world championship medals for the U.S. – DiCello (2021 world all-around bronze), Hurd (2017 AA world champion, silver on beam; 2018 silver on beam, bronze on floor, team gold ), McCusker (2018 Team Gold) and Wong (2021 AA Silver; 2022 Team Gold)
  • Seven Gators were part of the USA senior national teams – Blakely (2018-19), DiCello (2019-20, 2021, 2022), Hurd (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021), McCusker ( 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021), Nguyen (2016-17), Thomas (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20), Wong ( 2018-19 , 2019-20, 2021, 2022)
  • Five Gators have collegiate bests of 10.0 – Baumann (floor), Blakely (floor), Clapper (beam), Thomas (vault, bars, beam, floor) and Wong (vault, bars)

The Gators have sold out four of their five home meets in 2022. Florida has tied its season attendance record in four of the last five seasons, with the current record 9,108 per meet achieved in 2022.

More information about tickets:

  • Reserved seating options can still be purchased for $75 (Lower Level) or $55 (Mid Level). Prices for children are $50 (lower level) and $40 (middle level).
  • General admission tickets are available for all regular season games. Youth 12 and under are admitted for five dollars.
  • For just $25, reserve a parking spot in the O’Connell Center lot for all home games. Reserved parking tickets are available to all season ticket holders – reserved and general tickets.
  • Can’t meet at home? Season ticket holders can transfer their tickets to another person by logging into their Florida Ticket account and clicking “Manage My Tickets”. Select the meeting to transfer the tickets to and then enter the recipient information. This is available up to three hours before the meeting.
