After a long wait, the Mahindra Group chairman finally got his hands on the all-new Scorpio-N.
The avid Twitter user with 9.8 million followers took to the microblogging platform to announce the news. Calling it a ‘big day’, the 67-year-old asked his fans to suggest a name for his new SUV.
His tweet read, “Big day for me; received my Scorpio N… need a good name for it… suggestions welcome!”

When one user commented that he assumed the business tycoon had personally handed over the keys to the gentleman in his photo, Mahindra clarified, “Not today.”
He went on to say that he was getting selfish and was desperate to get behind the wheel. “I was being selfish today… can’t wait to get behind the wheel,” he wrote.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N tops the list of cars with the longest wait at 21 months. According to reports, the SUV received over one lakh bookings in just 30 minutes.
The businessman chose the ‘Red Rage’ color for his new ride. The car is available in six other colors – Everest White, Dazzling Silver, Royal Gold, Grand Canyon, Deep Forest and Napoli Black.
The base model of the car is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and comes in 25 variants. The top model is priced at Rs 23.90 lakh.
The car comes in two engine options – a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine. While the diesel variant produces 132PS and 300Nm as well as 175PS and 400Nm, the petrol engine produces 203PS and 380Nm. Both engines come with a standard six-speed manual transmission.
Earlier in May, in a reply to badminton star Chirag Shetty, Mahindra shared that he and his wife Anuradha are still in line to get the much-demanded XUV700. He also said that a disruption in the global supply chain was to blame for the delay in its availability.

In his cheeky reply, Shetty, who created history by winning gold in the Thomas Cup with shuttler Satok Sairaj Rankireddy, hinted at expediting the process of getting his XUV700 which he booked recently.
Mahindra has gifted XUV700s to sports stars such as Paralympian shooter Avani Lekhara, and javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and Samit Intel.
