Danger:
The throttle cable can freeze at low ambient temperatures, resulting in throttle sticking that may cause the brakes to fail to stop the vehicle, creating a risk of an accident. OhIn addition, on certain model year 2022 Intimidator GC1K vehicles, the onboard software does not prevent users from disengaging the seat belt at speeds greater than 15 mph, creating a crash hazard.

Description:
The recall covers Intimidator and Mahindra branded models 750, 800, 1000, TGB, and GC1K Utility Vehicles (UTVs). The recalled UTVs were sold in different colors. “Intimidator” or “Mahindra” appears on the front grille and the model series is printed on the rear panels. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) can be found on a label inside the glove box, inside the hood compartment and under the driver’s seat. Serial numbers of affected Intimidator vehicles are available. www.intimidatorutv.com/recall/. Affected Mahindra vehicles have serial range from 000000 to 010545. Treatment:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled utility vehicles and contact an Intimidator or Mahindra authorized dealer to schedule a free repair and get a speed limiter software update/fix.
Incidents/Injuries:
The whistleblower has received 393 reports of frozen throttle cables, including four reports of crashes resulting in injuries. There were no incidents of high speed when the seat belt was disengaged.

Intimidator and Mahindra authorized dealers across the country between $11,000 and $21,500 from August 2013 to February 2022.
