Jamie Carragher names Liverpool’s top four as he reveals his ‘favourite team to watch this season’ | Tech US News

Jamie Carragher has backed Liverpool to finish in the top four this season despite a worrying start to the campaign.

The Anfield side have won just four of their opening 12 Premier League games and are already eight points adrift of Newcastle, who currently occupy last place in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side lost back-to-back league games against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, but the former Red still believes they can beat Chelsea and Manchester United to qualify for Europe’s top competition.

“I think north London clubs [Arsenal and Tottenham] They’re both going to get into it now, I really believe it,” he told the Daily Mirror (via Metro ).

“I loved watching Arsenal, they were almost my favorite team this season.

“I think Liverpool will get there before Chelsea and Man United and then the two north London clubs will be next to Man City.

“But I think it’s going to be a fight that goes all the way and as a Liverpool fan, if you offered me a fourth now I’d bite your hand off.

I think Liverpool are in real contention for this and could easily finish sixth. But I think Liverpool will hang in there and I think we will see the Liverpool of the past at some stage in the second half of the season.

“When Liverpool get back to that, it’s too much for everyone else in this league apart from Man City. But if they don’t get back to that consistency, it’s going to be difficult for them.”

Arsenal have been playing well this season and are the current pacesetters in the league, winning all but two of their 12 games.

It looks like the Gunners and Manchester City are likely to finish in the top four, meaning there may only be two places left to fight for the likes of us, Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs.

Newcastle are doing well, but the question is, can they continue their impressive form?

It’s important to remember that it’s only November and we still have the World Cup later this month, so there’s still a long way to go.

There’s no denying that our start to the campaign has been lackluster, but with the likes of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, who we hope will be fit again in the new year, and the opportunity to strengthen the squad in January, there’s no reason why this season can’t would be successful successful.
