Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is reportedly ready to push all the chips into the middle of the table after Sunday’s win over the Lions.
According to Dallas sports radio host Kevin Gray Jr. Jones said he’s ready to do all of that this season, and that he’s willing to give up some of the team’s future assets to do so.
Said via Grey:
When [I] had a chance to do something that would be interpreted, but real flesh on the bone before doing it, then I would do it. I feel very good about our chances here. I would do that. Yes, and I would be giving up some future currency if I chose to do so.
Jones’ comments sound like his former calendar and salesman, when the oil money sidekick did whatever it took to ensure the Cowboys were in Super Bowl contention in the early to mid-90s.
What that means for this year’s team remains to be seen, but it should be a welcome change of tune for Dallas fans.
