Jawaharlal Nehru University on Wednesday began the registration process for admission to its undergraduate programs through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
Candidates can apply for undergraduate programs in the university through the official website of JNUEE.
When visiting the website, click on the link about applications for BA programs. This will open a portal where candidates can log in using their CUET-UG application number and date of birth as password, a JNU official said.
The registration fee for general category, economically weaker section and OBC candidates is ₹250 in ₹100 for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Persons with Special Needs.
Foreign nationals will have to pay ₹2,392 for registration.
To register, candidates will have to fill an online application with personal details and qualification details. Scanned photos and signatures are then uploaded and payment is made.
“The candidate has to provide all the details while filling the online application form, besides creating a password and answering the selected security question,” the official said.
“After successful submission of personal information, an application number will be generated which will be used to complete the remaining steps of the form and will also be required for all future correspondence.”
This year, the university opted for CUET for enrollment in undergraduate programs.
Admission to BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated Program in Ayurvedic Biology and Certificate of Proficiency Programs at Jawaharlal Nehru University for the academic year 2022-23 is through CUET (UG) 2022.
JNU is among the latest central universities in the city to open the registration process for admission to undergraduate programmes. While Jamia Millia Islamia started the registration process last month, Delhi University opened its admission portal on September 12.
The National Testing Agency released the result of the first edition of CUET for undergraduate admission earlier this month.
