Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will complete online application process for Class IX admission 2023-24 today. Eligible candidates will now be able to apply on the official website navodaya.gov.in.
The JNVST IX Selection Test for Class 9 Admission will be conducted on 11th February 2023 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the concerned district/any other center allotted by NVS. The exam will last 2 hours and 30 minutes. The medium of language for the examination will be English/Hindi.
Eligibility criteria
Only those candidates who are bona fide residents and are studying VIII. class during the academic period 2022-23 in one of the Govt./Govt. Recognized schools of the district where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought are eligible. A candidate applying for the entrance test must fulfill the conditions/pass VIII. class in the academic session 2022-2023 from Govt./Govt. recognized school in the district where he seeks admission. Students who have already passed Class VIII in previous academic periods are not eligible.
The candidate for enrollment must be born between 01.05.2008 and 30.04.2010 (both days inclusive). This applies to all categories of candidates including those belonging to OBC (Central List), Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Steps to Register for JNVST Class 9 Admission 2023:
- Visit the official website navodaya.gov.in
- On the home page click on “Click here to submit online application form for Ix Class Lateral Entry Selective Test 2023.”
- To apply, please register and log in
- Fill in the details and submit the form
- Take a printout for future reference
