“With sales of 26,632 SUVs in May, we continued the growth momentum with good performance across all our brands including XUV700 and Thar. We are seeing strong bookings and have a strong pipeline. We have the Scorpio-N announced the launch, which is generating huge interest levels and promises to be another blockbuster from Mahindra,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division.

In the commercial vehicles segment, the domestic automaker managed to sell 21,149 vehicles in May 2022. We are closely monitoring supply chain-related issues, which are limiting volumes and are taking appropriate measures to mitigate the impact,” Nakra added.

Meanwhile, Mahindra had earlier informed that its XUV700 has turned out to be a resounding success since its launch. The introduction of the new model is a big shot for Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) as it is getting bookings of over 9,000-10,000 units every month. Despite producing 5000 vehicles per month, the SUV has reached a waiting period of 18-24 months.
