New Delhi: For its sixth year, the Mahindra Kabira Festival, which will be held on the ghats of Varanasi from November 18 to 20, promises a diverse line-up of musicians and entertainers.

Ashish Kumar Jaiswal, a Benares gharana singer and dharpad expert, will perform at this year’s festival along with Sarod expert Pandit Vikash Maharaj and his sons Prabhash and Abhishek Maharaj. Rama Sundar Ranganathan will also perform. The festival will provide a specially curated “Heritage Walk” through the Panchganga Ghat, visiting the streets, sights and sounds of Varanasi, and tracing the rich history of the city of temples.

Artistes presenting the afternoon session include award-winning Carnatic singer Sushma Soma, scholar Umesh Kabir, writer Prashotham Agrawal, singer-songwriter Vipan Hero, Dadi D. Padmaji of The Ashara Puppet Theater Trust, and Fauzia Dastangu.

Anubhu Nath and Arpana Kaur will participate in Ojas Art Art Dialogue as part of the event.
