We traveled from Chennai to Nagercoil in our 2021 Safari, with a Mahindra SUV waiting for us when we arrived.

Mahindra gave me a 4WD automatic petrol for two days so that I could visit my estate with my family for the Puja holidays.
It all started when my 2019 model went for a preventive check-up before traveling to Nagercoil on Thu 27th September. With the Puja holidays approaching and the mandatory children’s holidays (thanks Tamil Nadu Government), we decided to visit our property which is surrounded by reserve forests. The closest we have to other humans is a good two kilometers away and that’s why I wanted to do a thorough check up because the last thing I wanted was to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with wild animals and no mobile signal. be It was a good thing I did as the water level in the radiator was low and the service manager at Automotive Mahindra Pvt Ltd, Chennai, Mr Harry, insisted that I would not travel anywhere in that condition, let alone travel to the jungles. give. He will definitely try to help me. I honestly didn’t expect much to come out of it. I was very disappointed as I had not made any other travel and boarding arrangements.
What happened next was the stuff of dreams, at least for me and my kids.
A Mr. Alex from Mahindra called me and told me that he has spoken to Derrick Mahindra, Nagercoil and he has arranged a 4WD petrol automatic demo car which is available at my disposal for two days. The only condition was that I had to fill my own fuel and make my own travel arrangements from Chennai to Nagercoil. It was truly a blessing as riding for 700 km in Thar is very challenging to say the least. The trip was definitely back on track and my wife, relatives, kids and I loaded up my trusty 2021 Safari (yes, you read that right too. I have a Tata and a Mahindra). Arrived at Nagercoil on 2nd October to find him waiting for us.
I’m not much of a photo person and so I’ve put together some drone shots from the trip that I hope you enjoy. If you watch the video and the ground, you will understand how much this gesture from Mahindra means to me. And yes, Robert Frost seems fitting for the location.
I think Indian automotive manufacturers are already leading the way by providing customer-centric services that were never heard of before. Both Tata and Mahindra are competing with each other to provide safer, more reliable cars and to be more customer friendly and at least for me that is very important.

It was a great gesture from Mahindra. Mahindra seems determined to address its weakest point – customer service.

Great gesture from Automotive Mahindra and your drone video and music/commentary is fantastic. Beautiful location for a family holiday in a 4×4.

Wow, this seems like a thing to me now. Because, I recently traveled 1000 km in my Rapid and initially we were 7 people in the plan and since my father was in touch with Mahindra dealer, he gave us his demo petrol Thar M for the trip. Presented T. However, 2 people couldn’t make it so we were 4 adults and a child, so it didn’t make sense to take two cars and 4 adults plus a child with a lot of luggage to Thar was inconvenient. One day for sure I would love to take the Thar on a road trip to understand the car better and if it suits me or not as I am a sedan enthusiast.
