Mahindra Scorpio N takes on the Scorpio in a tug-of-war | Tech US News

Mahindra has recently launched the Scorpio N in the market and the deliveries have also started. Several videos related to Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic have surfaced online. There are several ownership and walk-around videos of the Mahindra Scorpio N. There are still people who love the looks of the Scorpio and that is one of the reasons why Mahindra has not discontinued it. It is currently being sold as the Scorpio Classic and here we have a video in which the Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N compete against each other in a tug-of-war.

This video has been uploaded by Arun Panwar on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger takes Scorpio N and Scorpio on a road with absolutely no traffic. The Scorpio seen in the video here is not a classic Scorpio. This is an older version of the S5. The vlogger starts by talking about the technical specifications of both the SUVs. The Scorpio S5 is powered by a 2.2 liter mHawk turbo diesel engine that produces 120 Bhp and 270 Nm of peak torque. The Scorpio N, on the other hand, also has a 2.2 liter mHawk turbo diesel engine but, it produces 172 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque.

Both the SUVs seen in the video here are manual SUVs. The two SUVs were tied to each other using a metal rope and the two were preparing for a tug-of-war. The competition starts and both start pulling each other. Surprisingly, in the first round, the Mahindra Scorpio easily pulled off the Scorpio N. The Vlogger was surprised because on paper, the Scorpio N had the advantage and he believed the Scorpio N would win. After the first round, the Scorpio was declared the winner and they guessed that the road had a slope which gave the SUV an advantage.

Old Mahindra Scorpio vs All New Scorpio-N in Tug of War Video

After the first round, they took the two SUVs to a different part of the road where it was leveled. The metal rope was tied and both the SUVs start pulling each other once again. In the second round, the Scorpio initially had the advantage, pulling the Scorpio N but, after some time, the Scorpio N started showing its true colors and was able to take out the SUV very easily. The Scorpio was not getting traction and the tire was sluggish and it soon started spinning freely. For the third round, the two SUVs started pulling each other and the Scorpio N pulled the older Scorpio so hard that it almost ended up on the farm.

The Vlogger mentioned that both the Scorpio N and the larger Scorpio have plenty of power and torque. The reason why the Scorpio gained the advantage in the first round was the way the power was delivered in both the SUVs. In the Scorpio N, Mahindra has set a rev limited that doesn’t let the driver put too much pressure on the engine. This thing is not present in Scorpio. The power delivery of Scorpio N is linear while in Scorpio it is more aggressive or raw. Scorpio N was declared the winner in this tug of war.
