Mahindra & Mahindra, the parent company of the UV manufacturer, recorded its highest ever monthly sales in September 2022. The company sold 34,508 SUVs last month as against 12,863 units in September 2021. Mahindra has recorded a whopping 168% year-on-year sales growth. Mahindra currently sells a wide range of SUVs including Thar, XUV700, Scorpio and Bolero. These SUVs are getting a great response from buyers.

The growing demand for Mahindra SUVs has also resulted in long waiting periods. For example, the newly launched Mahindra Scorpio-N has received over 1 lakh bookings within 30 minutes. The company aims to deliver around 25,000 units of the Scorpio-N by the end of November 2022. Mahindra got a similar response for the XUV700 and the Thar Lifestyle SUV. Mahindra Scorpio N – Up to 24 months

The Scorpio N’s Z8 and Z6 variants currently command a waiting period of up to 2 years. The waiting period for the range-topping Z8L variant is around 20 months. The delivery of the SUV has already started. The company has announced that the top-end Z8L variant will be delivered on a priority basis.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic – Over 2 months

Mahindra recently launched the new Scorpio Classic, which retains the original design and interior. However, it is now based on a new ladder frame chassis and gets a new 2.2L turbo diesel engine. The new Scorpio Classic comes with a waiting time of around 2 to 3 months depending on the variant and dealership.

Mahindra XUV700 – Up to 16 months

The popular XUV700 currently commands a waiting period of up to 16 months depending on the variant you choose. Entry-level petrol variants are available with a maximum waiting time of up to 4 months. Diesel models are in high demand and have a waiting period of up to 18 months. The top-spec AX7 L has a waiting period of 16 months, while the AX7 petrol and diesel variants can be had within 15 months.

Mahindra Thar – 6 months

Mahindra has been able to significantly reduce the waiting period for the Thar Lifestyle SUV. The SUV could be available in most parts of the country within 6 months. The diesel version has the highest demand, while the petrol version has a minimum waiting period of around 2-3 months.

Bolero and Bolero New – 2 to 3 months

The waiting period for the highly popular Bolero Lifestyle SUV is over 2 months. Bolero Neo comes with a waiting time of around 2 to 3 months.
