The third 5-door will be offered with the same engine options as the 3-door version.
A test mule of the Mahindra Thar 5-door has been spotted testing yet again, revealing some new details.
The most obvious difference between the regular Thar and the 5-door is the longer wheelbase. The SUV has wheel arches similar to the 3-door Thar. That being said, the 5-spoke alloy wheels look different. The test car also has neatly integrated side steps and a rear-mounted spare wheel.
The interior of the Thar 5-door is likely to be similar to the 3-door version. The SUV is expected to get a centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment system among other features. A grab handle is also provided on the A-Pillar.
The third 5-door will be offered with the same engine options as the 3-door version. These include a 2.2-litre diesel producing 130 BHP and 300 Nm and a 2.0-litre petrol producing 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm. Both the engines are likely to be offered with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
