More than 20,000 take the PNP cadet entrance exam

More than 20,000 candidates converged on various examination centers nationwide to take the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) entrance exam.

In a statement, the PNPA said 37 test centers were opened for the PNP Cadet Entrance Test on October 29 and 30.

20,356 applicants were among those who passed the initial screening out of more than 60,000 registration forms submitted.

“Of the confirmed applications, and despite the wrath of Typhoon Paeng, 20,356 physically reached their schedule, representing a 67.5% turnout, lower than the annual average but well above the 50% minimum,” said the PNPA Police Brigade Director. General Eric Noble,

“The inspections were successfully conducted and completed without any adverse event reports,” he added.

The PNPACAT result will be released within a month, and successful examinees will be notified when they move on to the next phase of the cadet admission process, which is the physical, medical and dental screening phase, according to Noble.
