DU UG Admission 2022: More than 23,000 candidates choose to upgrade, 1,000 register in CSAS mid-entry window

Delhi University has closed the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) mid-term registration window today, November 7. The University recorded more than 1,000 registrations (1,008) through the CSAS interim enrollment window. According to data shared by DU, more than 23,000 candidates (23,139) have opted to upgrade for higher programs and priority colleges as per CSAS Round 2 allotments. While more than 30,500 candidates (30,662) who have allotted courses and colleges have frozen their seats.

More than 61,500 students have been admitted to the university so far against the 70,000 undergraduate seats available. Over 15,500 students have been admitted to undergraduate courses in Delhi universities in the second round of seat allotment. “After the second round, 30,662 students lost their seats. While 23,139 students chose to upgrade. Besides, we received 1,008 applications through the mid-admission window,” Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi told PTI.

The number of vacancies after the first two rounds of CSAS allotment is available on the official website of DU at admission.uod.ac.in. This year, the university conducts the admission process to its undergraduate programs through CUET results instead of the marks of class 12 students. The admission process in DU UG is in three stages – the first stage was to apply to the university, the second stage was to fulfill priorities, and the third stage was to allocate seats and reception.

DU has already conducted two rounds of admission through its CSAS portal. The allotment list for CSAS Round 3 will be released on November 10 (5:00 PM). Candidates shortlisted in the third allotment list must take the allotted seat from 11th to 13th November 2022. Schools can verify and approve the applications at the allotted seats from 11th to 14th November 2022. Candidates must make the payment of the admission fee at the allotted faculty on or before November 15 (4:59 p.m.).
