My Mahindra Thar Hardtop was modified: grill, lights, seats and more | Tech US News

The SUV’s side profile is pretty much stock, except for the tint.

There are seats with folding armrests and better under-thigh support. The base cushion of the seat was completely replaced while retaining the original frame. The armrest was welded to the original seat frame. Notice on the passenger side lumbar support, it works exactly as it should.

Also notice the dampening sheet at the bottom of the photo with the heavily loaded vinyl carpet on top. I hated the wind noise over 80km/h and the heat insulation.

Bumper with Line X coating. My mother hit the car on both sides and scratched it. The content is quite good only the line x came. Wrangler style grill. Note that there is a little flap just ahead of the grill and under the fender on either side, it comes with the bumper, not the grill. Just installing the grill will leave a gap between the panels. A bug deflector is very important if you want to see the road on highways. Get one from Mahindra for around Rs 1,500.

Reinstalled factory headlights with 130/100 bulbs and relay. It’s a perfect mix of yellow and white with xenon in the bumper. Marker lights mounted on the ceiling, scroll down to see a night shot.

Tweeters neatly integrated into the A-Pillar.

Black kit from Mahindra for side mirror and tail lamp

The worst mod I did was put the lights in the reflectors, I should have learned from my Karita experience. These are low quality products and not recommended as water gets in and stops working. Note my 2021 Ninja 1000SX.

Dead pedal under the carpet, fitted to my comfort.

The knee pads, I will sew it later in the color of my seats. It’s an honor for me because my knee is constantly resting on it.

Grabbing the handle is especially important on the driver’s side because you have nothing but the steering wheel to “climb” into.

My underseat woofer controller. It sits neatly in the storage area in front of the gear lever. I have an amp under the passenger seat and a woofer under the driver’s seat.

Signing off with one of my favorite clicks.
