Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after his health condition deteriorated.

According to the NCP, he is likely to be fired on November 2.

The party released a statement on Twitter: “NCP National President Sharad Pawar Saheb will be admitted to Breeze Candy Hospital in Mumbai for the next three days as his health condition is not good.”

“According to the request of the state general secretary of the party Shivajirao Garja through an official letter, all the officials and workers of the Nationalist Congress Party should not gather in front of the hospital,” he added.

The NCP further added that he will attend the party’s camps to be held in Shirdi on November 4 and 5.

On November 8, Pawar will also join the Congress ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi, a day after entering Maharashtra through Nanded. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole confirmed to news agency PTI that Pawar had accepted the invitation to take part in the statewide march.

Patole said Shiv Sena leader (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Uddhav Thackeray has also been invited, but the latter has yet to confirm his presence.

He said Gandhi will address rallies in Nanded and Shegaon in Buldhana as part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“The Bharat Jodo Yatra’s entry into Nanded coincides with the completion of 75 years of the liberation of Marathwada from the rule of the (Hyderabad) Nizam. We will celebrate the occasion with Rahul Gandhi in Nanded,” Patole said.

Earlier, Venugopal said that the only agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to tarnish Gandhi’s image was shattered by the success of the yatra.

“Their only aim is to tarnish the image of Rahul Gandhi in front of people. But this yatra has revealed the true face of Rahul Gandhi and the people of India are massively supporting him in every country,” Venugopal claimed. He said the crowd in Maharashtra for the yatra would be among the largest.
