‘No’ – Jesse Marsch has been accepted by Leeds United after the Elland Road thriller with Bournemouth | Tech US News

The Whites followed up a 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield with a comeback for the ages to see them win 4-3 over Bournemouth.

Marsch’s men found themselves 3-1 down early in the second half after being booed at the break and stormed back to make it three points for the second time in a row.

Substitutes Sam Greenwood, Liam Cooper and Crysencio Summerville all hit the net to take the game away from the Cherries, who answered Rodrigo’s third-minute penalty themselves with goals from Marcus Tavernier, Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke.

Asked if he had enjoyed the past two weeks, Marsch shook his head ruefully. “No,” he said. “No. The bright side is that I feel we believe we can win now. You know, before, as I said, after Fulham, we were more waiting for defeat. I think we turned that around. And we were in both games against Liverpool and here tonight, we had really good stretches of the game in all phases.”

What would allow Marsch to enjoy the Leeds United hot seat a little more is a simpler and simpler win, or at least one solid performance following another.

“I’m just looking for consistency,” he said.

“It makes a manager’s life easier instead of living on the edge and in motion, but I think we’re all looking for that and we’re all chasing that to a great extent and I just want to see it manifest itself more and more every day. I hope it doesn’t carried on like this – I want to try and keep things simple for us, but I hear that’s not the Leeds way.’

Marsch was without striker Patrick Bamford, who was injured again with an unfortunate incident in training.

“On the last drive of practice yesterday, he literally took a penalty and then felt something in his hip,” Marsch said. “So they think it’s like a seven-day injury and then we’ll see how it goes in the week and if we can get him ready for Tottenham.”
