OPPO will end the year with the launch of several smartphones. The company is said to launch the Reno 9 series soon in China. It is also expected to unveil new phones that could be called OPPO Find N2 and Find Flip. While these are great products that are expected to be announced soon, OPPO may also launch a new mid-range phone in select markets. OPPO A98 5G launch is imminent.

OPPO has not confirmed the contents of the advertisement. However, the phone was spotted on the Geekbench website. The Geekbench listing has confirmed some key specifications of OPPO’s upcoming phone. Let’s take a look at the OPPO A98 5G specifications, features and other details.

OPPO A98 5G has been spotted on the Geekbench website with the model number PHQ110. It is expected to be introduced soon in China and other markets. The Geekbench listing shows that the phone draws power from the Snapdragon 695 SoC. It is paired with Adreno 619 GPU. The SoC has a peak clock speed of 2.21GHz. It has six efficient cores, which are clocked at 1.8GHz.

The variant listed on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM. We can expect that OPPO will release the phone with more RAM and storage options. The Geekbench listing also shows that the A98 5G runs Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of ColorOS 13 on top of Android.

The A-series OPPO smartphone scored 687 and 2066 in the Geekbench single and multi-core tests. Other details of the A98 5G have been leaked in the past. It is worth noting that we mistake the A98 5G as another OPPO smartphone on Geekbench, which has the model number PGW110. Blass says the A98 5G has the model number PHQ110.

The design image uploaded by the tipster shows the rear panel design. It has two large circles on the back, which houses the three cameras and the LED flash. Below the camera cutouts write a glossy tape, whereas the rest of the rear panel seems to have a gradient back. The image also confirms that the phone will have a curved back unlike many phones announced in 2022 that sport a curved back.
