Oppo Find N2 can be the lightest phone of “Fold” mode | Tech US News

One of the problems with foldable phones of the Fold type is that you have to accept carrying a bigger and heavier machine in your pocket than the original. But it seems that Oppo will have found a way to reduce the weight of its new Find N2, a phone that will likely hit the market next month. According to new rumors, Oppo’s new foldable will be lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with direct competitors in the market with foldable screens.

The Find N2 will also be lighter than “standard” phones like the iPhone 14 Pro Max

Last year’s original Oppo Find N was already one of the most compact Fold type handsets, and the Find N2 looks set to adopt a similar shape with a smaller screen. So the company has focused on reducing the weight of the device to be lighter than the 240 grams that the largest iPhone weighs.

The information has been published by IceUniverse, a well-known in China, which says that Find N2 will weigh 15% less than the previous model and less than Galaxy Z Fold4, Huawei Mate X2, or Vivo X Fold +.

Among the ways Oppo has lost weight is the new design for the hinge that holds the two parts of the phone together, as well as choosing new, lighter materials to assemble the new model. However, the new phone should come with hardware changes, such as a new system, and better cameras: 50-megapixel main sensor, 48-megapixel ultra-wide and 32 – megapixel 2x zoom. This format will be similar to what we can see on the rumored OnePlus 11.

Unfortunately, because the Oppo Find N is not produced outside of China, we have no hope that the Chinese manufacturer will bring this model to Europe. We tested the Chinese version of the original Find N and were impressed by the design and size, but disappointed by the software experience.
