Oppo’s Find X5 is a direct link to last year’s Find X3 and seems to carry similar specifications to its Pro sibling but with some omissions. With our Find X5 written review out of the way, we now bring you the video version that reiterates the pros and cons of the device and how it fared in our tests.
Find X5 brings a curved 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It’s not a flat LTPO panel like last year meaning the refresh rate doesn’t have granular controls. The phone carries a premium glass and metal design with a unique camera cutout that tapers upwards.
The Snapdragon 888 is last year’s chipset but it performs well here. The 4,800 mAh battery delivers a 108-hour battery life rating which is excellent and you get 80W fast charging with a full charge taking 42 minutes. The camera setup of the X5 is carried over from last year’s Find X3 series with a 50MP camera, 13MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawaide snapper.
The shots from the main camera are decent although the quality is below the flagships from competitors. The telephoto module captures good details but tends to dark images while the ultrawide snapper can also work as a macro cam thanks to its autofocus.
