Potter admits a lack of “quality” among Chelsea’s players | Tech US News

Chelsea manager Graham Potter says his side currently lack the “quality and attributes” to challenge for the Premier League title.

The Blues suffered their second successive Premier League defeat after going down 1-0 to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Frankly, the result flatters Potter’s team, who were simply toothless and outplayed by the visitors.

Chelsea boss Potter admitted his side deserved to lose as he spoke about the lack of quality in his squad to challenge for the title.

“To get where you want to go, you have to see who’s with you,” the manager told Chelsea TV after the game.

“[See] who is able to take on the responsibility, who has the necessary quality and attributes to help the team get to where we want to go, which is to compete at the top of the league.

“We’re not there right now, but it’s a process, it’s a challenge and it’s work.”

Potter does not yet have any transfer window to join Chelsea and based on his comments, it seems that he is not completely happy with the players he currently has at his disposal.

To be fair, Chelsea also have an extensive injury list, including key players such as Reece James, Wesley Fofana and N’Golo Kante, which has affected the team’s performance.

However, despite injuries, picking up two points from a possible 12 in the last four league games is still very poor with the rest of the players Chelsea still have.
