Real Madrid legend acknowledges Lionel Messi | Tech US News

For years, Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have been on opposite sides of the greatest rivalry in all of football: El Clasico, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Both have been involved in many memorable battles over the years, even captaining their respective teams for years. Now they find themselves in the locker room of Paris Saint-Germain.

After their first year in Paris, both seem to have rediscovered their form. Ramos is once again regularly playing in the heart of the defence, while Messi looks back to his dazzling best, scoring and assisting at an incredible rate.

It must be a strange sight for football fans to see Messi and Ramos in the same team after being rivals for so long. There seems to be nothing but respect between the two.

In fact, Ramos even admitted that he suffered against Messi for years and that he prefers the Argentine in his team instead of playing against him. According to Marca, the former Real Madrid captain said:

“[Messi] he is still one of the most decisive players in the world and one of the best, it is a privilege to have him in the team.

“It is much worse to have him against me, I have suffered against him for many years.”

The former captain of Real Madrid recognized Messi

Needless to say, Messi is one of the best in the history of the game. For a while last season it looked like he was on the decline and disappearing as a player. But it didn’t turn out that way and he is now playing brilliantly again, despite having to share the pitch with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, who occupy more attacking positions than him.

It’s good to see that he and Ramos got along at PSG. They are two of the best in the history of the game and deserve all the respect in the world.

Of course, club affiliation will take a side step when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar later this month.

Messi will be hoping to lead Argentina to the World Cup, while Ramos is hoping to be included in Spain’s squad.
