SAN DIEGO, CA – SeaWorld San Diego is honoring active duty military, veterans and their families this Veterans Day weekend with free admission and patriotic tributes, the theme park announced.

Military members and up to three guests can receive free one-day admission as part of the Waves of Honor social program, which welcomes active duty military members, veterans and their families with special rates and promotions. From Friday through Sunday, SeaWorld will also hold a daily flag ceremony and have live music and fireworks for the weekend during the park’s “Red, White and Blue Salute.”

All weekend long, SeaWorld will open each day with a flag ceremony and national anthem. A “Field of Honor” with more than 1,000 American flags will be on display in front of the Nautilus Pavilion. Guests will also be able to dedicate a flag to their hero with a personal touch. In addition, the park will recognize veterans and their service at the Orca Encounter and Dolphin Adventures presentations.

The event will feature a fireworks display 10 minutes before closing Friday for Veterans Day.

There will be live musical performances throughout the weekend, including the US Marine Marching Band from San Diego on Saturday and Sunday. Valley Center High School marching band students will also perform on Sunday. The SeaStreet Band will be playing hits around the park.

Active military members and veterans can apply for free one-day tickets for themselves and up to three dependents. Veterans tickets must be redeemed by Sunday, while active duty tickets must be used by Dec. 31, 2022, according to SeaWorld.
