The principal says that parents are only obliged to pay school fees

Srinagar- Kashmir’s school education department announced on Saturday that the admission process in all schools in the valley will begin only after the peak of the annual examinations.

Director of School Education in Kashmir, Tasaduq Hussain Mir, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, said that there will be no new admissions for the time being, as the annual exams have not been conducted so far, according to the KNO news agency.

He said there are guidelines from the administration that the new admission process starts only after the exams are over.

He further said that as far as entry fee is concerned, only such fee as fixed by the fee fixing committee shall be charged.

About the winter camp, he said that parents are only liable to pay school fees for their wards and should not pay any other fee, be it transport fee.

Mir also said that on November 15, the government began gradually providing heating arrangements.
