The Central Florida Zoo offers free admission. Here’s when | Tech US News

SANFORD, Fla. – Looking for family fun after Halloween? The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Garden will offer free admission to residents on November 5.

The free day comes from a joint effort with VyStar Credit Union to give back to the community by partnering with local nonprofits.

β€œOn the heels of our local community bearing the brunt of Hurricane Ian, it’s wonderful to be able to welcome them to the zoo for a day focused on learning and happy memories rather than recovering from the storm. This is just one more way that VyStar has proven to be a great partner to both the Zoo and our local community,” Zoo Executive Director Richard E. Glover Jr. said in a news release.

Free admission will be limited to 600 guests per hour. To secure a free ticket, guests must visit the zoo’s website and purchase a ticket in advance, as they will not be available at the gate.

A zoo in central Florida reopened last week after flooding from Lake Monroe caused by Hurricane Ian made it dangerous for visitors to enter the zoo.
