The online application process for admission to all government and non-government high schools for the upcoming academic period will begin on November 16.

The deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. on December 6, said prof. Nehal Ahmed, Director General, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

He said the necessary guidelines on the admission process have already been uploaded on the DSHE website, he said.

DSHE has fixed December 10 as the date of the central draw for admission to all government schools and December 13 for non-government schools.

Non-government schools in metropolitan areas and sadar upazilas will come under central lottery. But even non-government schools, which will not be part of the central draw, will have to conduct the draw through committees approved by the Ministry of Education.

Applications for government and non-government schools will have to be submitted through the website “gsa.teletalk.com.bd”.

Students will be able to choose five schools against one form. The cost of the form will be set at TK 110 and the fee can be deposited from Teletalk prepaid mobile phones.

All schools will have until December 28 to complete the admissions process.

Children six years of age and older will be able to enroll in the first grade.
