New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS) The Mahindra Kabira Festival on the Varanasi ghats from November 18 to 20 promises an eclectic mix of artists and performers for its sixth edition.

This year, the festival features Dharpad expert and Benares gharana singer Ashish Kumar Jaiswal; Sarod Master Pandit Vikash Maharaj with his sons Prabhash Maharaj and Abhishek Maharaj; and classical singer Rama Sundar Ranganathan. Tracing the ancient history of this city of temples, the festival will present a curated ‘Heritage Walk’ across the Panchganga Ghat traversing the streets, sights and sounds of Varanasi.

The afternoon session will feature artists including Fauzia Dastango. Academic Amish Kabir; Writer Prashotham Aggarwal with singer-lyricist Vipin Hero, Dadi D Padmaji from The Eshra Puppet Theater Trust; and award-winning Carnatic singer Sushma Soma.

The festival will also feature an art discourse by Ojas Art featuring Anubhu Nath and Arpana Kaur.
