Undersecretary of State for International Organization Affairs Michele Sison Travels to Geneva, Vienna and Paris | Tech US News


Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Michele J. Sison will travel to Geneva, Paris, and Vienna from November 7-14, 2022 to consult with counterparts from a number of international organizations. Those consultations will include the undersecretary’s first meeting with Volker Türk in his new role as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as meetings with the leadership of the World Health Organization, the UN Refugee Agency and the International Labor Organization. The Under Secretary will also meet with Amy E. Pope, the US nominee for Director General of the International Organization for Migration.

In Vienna, the undersecretary will hold meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Atomic Energy Agency. In Paris, the Under Secretary will hold a series of meetings on global issues, including human rights, with counterparts in the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
