University of Tanzania Postgraduate Admission Form 2022/2023. Interested candidates are hereby informed that the management of the University of Tanzania has started the sale of enrollment forms for the various courses of its postgraduate program for the period 2022/2023. See below for details on the list of available courses, admission requirements and how to apply.

Appropriately qualified candidates are invited to enroll in the postgraduate programs of the University of Tanzania for the academic year 2022/2023 for the following programs:

1. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Accounting
2. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Business Administration
3. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Journalism and Media Studies
4. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Broadcasting
5. PGD, M.Sc. & Doctor of Political Science
6. MA. & PhD in Philosophy
7. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Computer Science
8. PGD, M.Sc. & PhD in Biochemistry
9. PGD, M.Sc. & Doctor of Microbiology Jamb Result

Applicants for admission to any graduate program of the University must:

1. Obtain 5 credits in up to two WASC or GCE or NECO or NABTEB courses including English Language and Mathematics.
2. Meet the minimum entry requirements for enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs in areas of interest for graduate study.
3. To be a graduate of a University of Tanzania or other recognized University/Institution possessing the above qualifications. University of Tanzania Postgraduate Admission Form

A. POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS

The following can qualify for admission to postgraduate studies:

1. Graduates of the University of Tanzania or other recognized universities/institutions who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with at least third class honors with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 5-point scale.
2. Holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a GPA of 3.50 on a five-point scale or equivalent may be admitted. Applicants with professional qualifications, including HND, should obtain pre-professional qualifications including 5 credits in WASC or GCE O/L or NECO to meet the basic university entry requirement for admission to graduate courses in their respective departments.
3. In addition to (i) or (ii) above, in special cases candidates may be admitted after passing such tests as may be prescribed by the Department/Faculty.
4. Candidates who possess other qualifications considered equivalent to the above and acceptable to the Postgraduate Studies Committee and Senate of the University may be admitted.

B. MASTER’S STUDY PROGRAM

For admission to master’s studies, the following conditions are met:

1. Graduates of the University of Tanzania or other recognized universities/institutions who have obtained a degree in relevant disciplines with at least second class honors with a minimum of 2.50 GPA;
2. Applicants with relevant postgraduate degrees from the University of Tanzania or any other recognized university/institution with at least a passing credit level with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale; Pounds to Naira

C. DOCTORAL PROGRAM (PhD.).

For admission to doctoral studies, they meet the following conditions

1. Candidates who have obtained a Master’s degree corresponding to the proposed fields of study meet the requirements for admission to the Ph.D
2. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 5-point scale, a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4-point scale for admission to the doctoral program

HOW TO APPLY FOR GRADUATE ADMISSIONS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TANSIAN

Below is the process flow for the application:

• Make the payment for the application form as mentioned above
• Log on to the University of Tanzania website at www.tansianuniversity.edu.ng
• Go to Application form for postgraduate studies
• Download it and print the application form
• Fill out the PG application form.
• Submit the completed application form, credentials, bank teller for the application form and other relevant supporting documents to the Graduate School

CLOSING DATE: The application closes Wednesday, December 16, 2022.
