The STF said that during the investigation, it came to light that Singh, in connivance with two officials and a private organizing company, Soft Solution Private Limited, allegedly falsified the information obtained from the directorate, leading to the admission of undeserving candidates.

The investigation also revealed that in many cases the natural order of merit was not followed. Also, in some cases selected students did not even appear for NEET.

Meanwhile, the STF has sent a letter to the Vice-Chancellor of Agra University stating that Kanpur’s current Vice-Chancellor Vinay Pathak has influenced the case.

In the letter, the STF said that Pathak’s close relatives are present in Agra University and are manipulating documents.

During the investigation at Agra University, some officials did not cooperate with the STF at all.

When the STF began its investigation, it was found that many pieces of evidence had been tampered with.

A senior STF officer said the university’s counsel had been informed about it and asked to stop tampering with the evidence.

The STF is also preparing a list of persons influencing the investigation.

Vinay Pathak is a co-accused in the bill payment scam of a private company that conducted pre- and post-examinations at Agra University, in which two people were also arrested.
