Domestic automakers, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have planned several new models for the Indian market. Talking about the next big launches, Tata will introduce the Harrier facelift with significant changes inside and out and Mahindra will introduce its first pure electric SUV – the XUV400. Here are some key details of the upcoming new Tata and Mahindra SUVs.
2023 Tata Harrier

The Tata Harrier facelift, which is currently in the testing phase, is expected to hit the roads in the first half of 2023. A major update will come in the form of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation System, Lane Departure Warning System, Automatic Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Aid and more. . The SUV can also be offered with a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a larger infotainment system. On the exterior, the new Harrier will get a redesigned grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new alloy wheels and an updated rear bumper. Mahindra XUV400

The Mahindra XUV400 is slated to go on sale in late January 2023. Official bookings for the electric SUV will begin in the first week of January. Initially it will be made available in selected 16 cities of the country. The XUV400 has a 39.5kWh battery pack with an electric motor that delivers a combined power of 148bhp and 310Nm of torque. The electric SUV is claimed to offer a range of 456km as per Indian Driving Cycle – MIDC on a full charge. It is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kmph.
