It’s clear that travel is back as consumers crisscross the globe, driven by pent-up demand and, in many cases, a greater appreciation for experiences.

Even with macroeconomic challenges and political unrest, IATA expects global passenger travel to reach nearly four billion by the end of this year and return to 2019 levels in 2024, with rapid growth thereafter.

As travel providers compete to capture that demand, an effective payment strategy can gain a critical edge.

The global payment services company Worldline traces its history back to 1973 and now operates in more than 40 countries with more than 18,000 employees.

In an interview in the PhocusWire Studio at The Phocuswright Conference, Worldline’s head of global travel solutions, Laurie Gablehouse, explains the importance of a global payment strategy for brands looking to attract international travelers.
